Crash

I came home from work yesterday to find a broken glass on the floor in the den. I always have some water by my side after enduring a Kidney stone several years ago. Pain I don't want to experience again so I drink tons of water a day. I usually keep "my glass" in the kitchen during the day when I'm gone but forgot yesterday. I'm sure that the cat's knocked it over when chasing each other around the house. The cats seem fine and the galls was cleaned up right away. So all in all everything is fine.

Kitten check

Last night my one of my sisters kittens spent the night on the enclosed porch. Her father in law came over in the evening and Bailey must have snuck out onto the porch when he left. They wondered where he was but assumed the he was sleeping with my nephew as usual. This happened once before but he was out there for only a hour or so. That time he pooped out here. This time he was out all night but did not have any accidents. I guess that they will have to do a kitty check to ensure this doesn't happen again!

Cardboard Scratcher

I have a few scratcher around the house. I have found Smokey and Arwen use most of them but they are using the cheapest one the cardboard scratcher more and more. I paid all of $2.99 for it. I have it flat on the floor in the den. They go after it on a regular basis. Arwen uses it the most but I am finding that Smokey is taking a greater liking to it as the weeks go by.

Update interrupted

I am having difficulty typing this update. Arwen is insisting on getting my attention she wants to get her head rubbed and to get petted as a result she will not allow me to type. She keeps forcing he head into my hand. So I guess it is time for some relaxing time with her. Till next time.

Cheap Chew Toy

I found that plain ole' plastic drinking straws make great toys for the cats. They seem to hunt them and carry them around like captured prey. I just leave them out for a few days and replace then when they get chewed up. Both Arwen and Smokey play with them but Smokey goes absolutely crazy for them. I think she gets the thrill of the hunt as she gets her "prey".
